Goodwill makes donating easy. Drop off items at any one of our many retail locations, or at a donation center near you. Our friendly staff will help you, and can provide a receipt for tax purposes. Have too much to drop off? Call 800-932-8270 to see if free pickup is available in your area.

Items We Accept
Goodwill gratefully accepts the following new and used items:

Antiques, Collectibles Furniture Mechanical Items, Tools Curtains/Drapes, Bedding, Towels Toys, Games and Puzzles Seasonal/Holiday Items Vehicles: Cars, Motorcycles, Boats, RVs Electrical Items: Computers, Game Systems, Radios Records, Tapes, CDs, DVDs Clothing: Men’s, Women’s, Children’s Accessories: Jewelry, Hats, Scarves, Gloves Shoes, Boots Books Household: Dishes, Small Appliances, more

 

Items We Cannot Accept
It’s hard to say “no thank you” to any donation when they help fund Goodwill Programs. However, we do need to refuse some items that are non-recyclable or containing hazardous materials. Good will refuses the following items:

Fragrances
Mattresses/box springs, including waterbed mattresses and frames
Carpet or carpet padding
Plumbing fixtures or building materials
Traditional recyclables: glass, newsprint, office paper, cardboard, plastics, magazines, junk mail
Weapons: guns, bows and arrows, ammunition, hunting knives
Cribs, car seats, walkers or other products that do not meet the current safety standards of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, including recalled items
Household chemical products: pesticides, paint, paint thinner, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, aerosols and other environmentally unfriendly waste products.
Automotive hazardous waste: tires, lead acid batteries, additives, gasoline, oils, antifreeze
Large appliances: refrigerators, freezers, stoves/ovens, washers/dryers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, furnaces, microwaves, trash compactors, water heaters, large console stereos, freon-based appliances
Personal care items: shampoo, conditioner, nail polish remover, shaving cream, hairsprays, shavers, curling irons
